Crossing from Brandenburger Haus to Hochjoch Hospiz

From the Brandenburger Haus you descend to the Kesselwandferner and first cross it heading east towards the Kesselwandspitze. Approximately at the middle of the glacier, turn right (southeast direction) and now head towards the Brandenburger Jöchl. Keeping the same direction, you finally leave the glacier (approximately at the middle of the ridge between Brandenburger Jöchl and Hintere Guslarspitze) and follow the clear mountain trail that leads down southeastwards south of the ridge.

Partly over scree, partly already over alpine mats, the path also runs through a few switchbacks. Then the slopes become increasingly wider and gentler and the path broader. Shortly before the Hochjoch Hospiz, at a fork in the path, take the right and descend in two large switchbacks towards the DAV hut.
