Ideal for beginners - piste ski tours in the Rosshütte ski area
The Rosshütte ski area is one of three ski areas in the Seefeld region where ski tourers are also welcome guests and can enjoy their own ascent tracks. A popular ski tour leads via the forest ascent up to the Rosshütte mountain restaurant. The ascent starts at the valley station and leads to the Hochegg Alm and continues on the piste. At the Rosshütte you can either stop for a break or continue the ascent in the direction of Seefelder Joch or even Seefelder Spitze. The descent then takes place on the piste – please be sure to observe the piste closures!
The second ascent takes place on the piste.
The second beginner-friendly piste tour in the Rosshütte ski area leads up to the mountain station at Härmelekopf. Along pistes 6a and 6b you climb almost 800 metres before you reach the destination of this beautiful and safe ski tour. After a stop for refreshments, you can relax on the blue slopes back down into the valley.
From easy to difficult - ski tours around the Hohe Munde
At the western end of the Seefeld plateau, the Hohe Munde, a mountain known throughout Tyrol for its panoramic views, is enthroned with its magnificent eastern flank. Before the terrain becomes steep, the Rauth hut lies on a small plateau. The 400 metres or so up to the hut, which is also open all winter, are on an abandoned piste, making this a perfect ski tour for beginners and children. Once you reach the top, you are greeted not only by a warm room, but also by a great view of the Karwendel and the Seefeld plateau.
If you want to ski up to the top of the mountain, you can do so here.
If you want to go one level higher to climb the east peak of the Hohe Munde, you need safe conditions on the one hand and the best technique and fitness on the other. But then the ski tour is a äußerst worthwhile, which comes up with a dreamlike view.
Challenging ski tours in the Seefeld region
The Seefeld high plateau is framed by the Karwendel, the Wetterstein mountains and the Mieminger range. In these mountains, of course, there are also many challenging ski tours for men and individualists, often with long ascents through the quiet valleys of the Karwendel.
The Pleisenspitze is one of these demanding tours. On this ski tour from Scharnitz you climb around 1600 metres of altitude, enjoy a magnificent view at the summit and the descent over the wide slopes quickly makes you forget the efforts of the ascent. If you are satisfied with something less, you can forego the summit and make yourself comfortable at the Pleisenhütte. The hut is also open in winter on beautiful weekends.
Another possible destination is the Arnspitze, which towers proudly above Scharnitz. Because of its steepness and unique view, this ski tour is one of the most beautiful in the Wetterstein Mountains, although it requires very safe conditions due to the steep slopes and is reserved for experienced tourers.
More winter activities in the Seefeld region
