Wolf Trail stage 3
To the south, the topography changes significantly. In the Weserbergland Nature Park, the terrain begins to rise noticeably - gentle but continuous chains of hills, wooded ridges and natural valleys now dominate the route. Towns such as Springe and Hameln provide cultural splashes of color before the route continues towards the low mountain range. From here, the effort clearly increases: In the Teutoburg Forest, longer ascents and descents characterize the hiking experience, and the metres in altitude increasingly add up. Dense forests, striking ridges and repeated open views over the surrounding countryside make this section varied and at the same time demand more stamina. The stage finally ends in Marsberg - a region where the low mountain ranges are already clearly noticeable and the terrain shows its powerful character.
Overall, this stage offers a clear change: from the wide, relaxed north to varied hilly landscapes and the first more challenging climbs. It is particularly suitable for all those who are looking for a gentle increase in difficulty and enjoy the diversity of northern and central Germany's natural and cultural areas.
