Through the Altmühltal from Adelschlag to Eichstätt
A quiet connecting route through fields, forests, and the Jura highlands, ending at Eichstätt station.
The hike starts in Adelschlag and leads out on quiet field paths into the open Jura landscape. Wide fields, small patches of forest, and short ascents characterize the route. Along the way, there are repeated beautiful views over the gently rolling highlands, typical for this part of the Altmühltal Nature Park. The trail remains generally easy to walk and leads mostly through quiet countryside away from larger towns.
Time and again, the view opens up towards Eichstätt and the broad Altmühl valley.
The route is particularly suitable for those who want to be on the transition between the villages in the south and the actual Altmühltal.
