Ontojärven itäpäässä, Jämäslahden pohjukassa on vanha puiden uittopaikka eli pudotuspaikka, joka toimii nykyisin Jämäksen pienevenesatamana.
Jämäksessä on Kuhmon kaupungin ylläpitämä telaranta noin 15 veneelle sekä betoninen veneluiska.
Jämäslahti toimii hyvänä lähtöpaikkana Ontojärven vesille.
