Laahtanen is a small lake with clear water in Ristijärvi. A 6 km hiking trail runs around it.

The marsh section of the hiking trail leads over duckboards, so you can observe the marsh on dry feet. Along the route there are remains of wartime trenches, a passage route for partisans, rare boundary stones of state lands and tar pits. Laahtanen is a perfect autumn excursion destination.

There are several fireplaces in the area.

The sandy beaches invite to take a dip in the water.

Whitefish, perch and pike grow in Laahtanen for fishermen to catch.
