The Lizumer Hut is located in the heart of the alpine pasture region of the “Quiet Tux Alps,” along the Central Alpine Trail 02A, the Munich-Venice Dream Trail, and the Inn Valley High Trail. In summer, there are a variety of mountain hikes to scenic peaks and neighboring huts such as the Glungezer Hut or the Weidener Hut. From families with children to long-distance hikers—there’s something for everyone here. In winter, there are numerous tours available on touring skis, splitboards, or snowshoes at all difficulty levels. There is also an avalanche transceiver training area right next to the hut. Right next to the hut, a hut pond, a bouldering wall, and a nine-meter-high lead-climbing wall invite you to relax or enjoy athletic activities in an alpine setting. Nearby, you’ll also find the Alpe Lizum cheese dairy and the Soldiers’ Church.
