Along Cyklokorytnička from Donovaly to Brankovský Waterfall

From the center of Donovaly, we set off along the yellow route towards the Mišúty settlement, cross the cable car to Nová hoľa, and continue among cottages to the ski slope from Nová hoľa. The yellow route leads us to the Pod Magura crossroads, where we change to the green cycling route and continue down the Žarnovka valley with a pleasant descent along a forest road to the state road from Banská Bystrica to Ružomberok. 

We cover approximately 700 meters on an asphalt road and then turn at the junction to Korytnica behind a production hall onto the Cyklokorytnička.

Cyklokorytnička follows the route of the original narrow-gauge railway from Ružomberok to Korytnica. This allows a comfortable transfer through the entire Revúcka valley via Liptovská Osada to Podsuchá, where we cross the state road a second time. After a few hundred meters, at a well-marked right turn, we ascend a gentle hill and continue along the valley, which comfortably leads us to the turn to the waterfall. The terrain starts to be slightly steeper and contains more technical sections in this part. We can park the bike at one of the small bridges and continue approximately 200 m to the waterfall on foot. 

The way back follows the same route.

On the way back, beyond the turn to Korytnica, we can notice an interesting technical monument - part of a dam wall, the first in Upper Hungary, which served to float timber to Liptovská Osada. The dam wall was blown up in the second half of the 1950s during the construction of the road from Banská Bystrica to Ružomberok through the mountain pass Donovaly.
