The Natural History Museum is one of the most visited sights in the city.
The museum houses countless world-class exhibits such as the Martian meteorite "Tissint", the almost 30,000-year-old Venus of Willendorf and huge dinosaur skeletons. The 39 exhibition rooms take visitors into the world of evolution, botany, the history of science, geology and zoology. The building is located on Maria-Theresien-Platz, directly opposite the Kunsthistorisches Museum. A visit to both museums is at the top of the to-do list during a stay in the Austrian capital.
