A tórendszer az egykori téglagyár „leszármazottja”, ugyanis ennek agyagját termelték itt ki a 20. század elejétől, majd amikor bezárt, az 1970-es években tavakat alakítottak ki a hátramaradt gödrökben. Mellette áll a fürdőkomplexum is – Sárváron 1961-ben fürdőlétesítés céljából kerestek termálvizet, és találtak is, közel 1000 méter mélyen.

- Vonattal érkezve Sárvár vasútállomásán kell leszállni.
- A buszokról a Sárvár, kórház megállóban érdemes leszállni.

- A vasútállomáson akár buszra is szállhatunk három megállónyira. Ha a gyaloglás mellett döntünk, a K+ jelzéseket kövessük mígnem az Országos Kéktúra K jelzéséhez csatlakozunk. Itt válasszuk a balra induló ágat, mely a kastélyparkon keresztül a tórendszer északnyugati részéhez vezet (2,1 km, 7 m szintemelkedés).
- A kórházi buszmegállóból délkelet felé induljunk el a Rákóczi Ferenc úton, majd az első lehetőségnél térjünk jobbra a Markusovszky utcára, ahol már a K jelzések mutatják az utat a tórendszerhez. A buszmegállótól indulva a tavak keleti részére érünk (500 m, szintemelkedés nélkül).
