A falu határában egy mini állatparkot nézhettek meg háziasított kedvencekkel.
Mátraszentimre központjából a Z◼ jelzésen déli, majd nyugati irányba indulva egy kilométeres, könnyed sétával érhetjük el a helyi önkormányzat által kialakított állatpark területét. Kisebb gyerekekkel is bátran nekivághatunk a faluból a kényelmesen járható útnak. Az Eötvös József utca elejétől már táblák is segítik a tájékozódást.
A bekerített részen juhokkal, kecskékkel, szamarakkal és egyéb őshonos állatfajtákkal ismerkedhetünk. A létesítményhez a kerítésen kívül egy fából épült kis kilátó is tartozott régebben, de rossz állapota miatt elbontották.
Ha a jelzésen továbbsétálva leereszkedünk a Csörgő-patak hangulatos, hűvös völgyébe, egy régi hutakemencét és a hajdani Csörgő-malom romját is szemügyre vehetjük, miközben hallgatjuk, amint a mederben tovagördülő apró kövek miatt csörög-csilingel a mellettünk kanyargó vízfolyás.

Public transport
- A Gyöngyösről, Pásztóról, Galyatetőről vagy éppen Budapestről induló távolsági buszról a Mátraszentimre, központ nevű megállóban kell leszállnunk. Mivel a járatok igen ritkásak, érdemes előre eltervezni az utazást.

- A buszmegállóból nyugati irányba induljunk az Eötvös József utcán a Z◼ jelzéseket követve (950 m)!
Parking
- Autóval Mátraszentimre központjáig érdemes menni, s onnan gyalogosan megközelíteni az állatparkot.
- Érdemes a faluban parkolóhelyet keresni az autónak; kialakított parkolót ugyan nem találunk, de az út szélén a KRESZ szabályainak megfelelően sok helyen van lehetőségünk megállni.
