A walking trail with informational signs about viticulture around the Heuchelheim neighborhood
UFFBASSE! — A campaign for considerate coexistence in nature
- Be considerate while out and about— always act thoughtfully, friendly, and considerate toward everyone you meet along the way. This is especially important on farm roads, where winemakers, farmers, and foresters work even on weekends.
- Picnics & Trash - Remember to bring a trash bag with you and take your trash home with you. Use only the designated rest areas for breaks and picnics.
- Keep Dogs on a Leash—Please always keep your dog on a leash. Other visitors and animals will appreciate it.
We, your fellow visitors, and nature will thank you!

Safety information
Use of Farm Roads —Our tours through the vineyards often take us along paths that we share with others. We therefore ask that you always be considerate and friendly toward others. Winegrowers, farmers, and foresters use these farm roads through fields, forests, and vineyards for their daily work—even on weekends. Due to work activities and/or weather conditions, the trails may be particularly muddy at times. Extra caution is also required when crossing roads in and around the Palatinate villages. Trail closures and detours must be strictly observed.Dangerous Situations – Should an emergency arise, quick help is essential. And even though cell phones can transmit GPS signals, the traditional emergency response points are often the fastest way to get help. These are located in places that are easily accessible to emergency vehicles. Make a note of the locations marked with green signs featuring a white cross. In an emergency, return to one of these locations and provide the number on the sign when you call 911. This way, emergency responders will know where to find you.

Roadbook
Soon you’ll find yourself back at the Kaiserbach stream, and you should take a short detour to the Heuchelheimer Schließe, where a shady rest area and the cool waters of the Kaiserbach await you on warm summer days. The tour takes you back through the vineyards in a loop, past the Obermühle , and back to the Kaiserbach, which you’ll cross and then follow for a short distance until you reach the country road. A short stretch along the country road, and you’ll find yourself back in the vineyards
.
Continuing westward, the trail leads to the Heuchelheim barbecue hut. Here, with a magnificent view of the vineyard landscape and the wine-growing village, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a picnic. Now the route takes you into the Heuchelheim district, past the festival hall, the historic town hall with its half-timbered facade and arcades, and the Protestant church, back to the starting point.
If you’d like to learn more about viticulture in Heuchelheim-Klingen after this tour, you can extend the tour and add the Klingen Wine Trail .

Equipment
Sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, sun and rain protection, and a sufficient supply of food and, above all, drinks—since places to stop for refreshments or shops aren’t always available or open—should be packed in your backpack for every hike. Although the trail is marked throughout, you should always carry a suitable map or a hiking app with you for safety reasons.Human-created
