Hike from Hengstpass to the Blahbergalm with a descent on the Knappensteig to the Weißwasser bivouac site.
One way Hengstpass - Weißwasser approx. 4 ½ - 5 hours, same route back 4 ½ - 5 hours

- Please do not forget to save the route “offline” before you start (top right), as mobile reception in the forest wilderness of the national park is not always available.
- A MUST-SEE! The Virtual Weißwasser Adventure Trail is located directly on the Hintergebirgsradweg between the intersection to the Weißwasser bivouac site and the intersection to Hirschkogelsattel. Here, an augmented reality experience virtually makes visible and palpable the historically important miner settlement in Weißwasser, carved out in the 1960s. Please download the Android app to your smartphone before visiting the adventure trail. There is no internet connection on site! Google Play: Download Weißwasser AR (iOS app available soon)

Facilities: Space for approx. 13 two-person tents, fireplace, firewood, dry toilet, firm ground for sleeping, no drinking water!
Please note: Overnight stays and camping are only allowed within the bivouac area and up to two nights.

Roadbook
Next to the alpine building of Zickerreith, you walk comfortably uphill on a forest road to Dörflmoaralm (not managed). Here path no. 475 branches off to the right to Ahornsattel. Via Siebenbrünn the hiking trail now leads through a beautiful beech forest with little incline to the idyllically situated Blahbergalm. Via the Knappensteig the path leads downhill to the Weißwasser bivouac site. (Hiking time Hengstpass - Weißwasser approx. 4 ½ - 5 hours).
