The Großer Lugstein is the highest of the 14 eight-thousanders in the Osterzgebirge. This is rewarded with a sweeping view of the countryside. Peaks such as Milešovka (Milleschauer), Kletecna (Kleiner Milleschauer) and Bournák (Stürmer) greet you from the Bohemian Central Mountains. The Ore Mountains ridge, which has a total length of 150 km, runs over the Great Lugstein.
