    Roadbook

    Route summarized in keywords:

Vorderberg - Karnitzen - St. Paul an der Gail - Hadersdorf - Tratten - Matschiedl - Vorderberg

    Start/End point:

Your tour starts at the bridge over the Vorderberger Bach, near the church. From here, ride left along the L27 in a northeast direction, cross the Gail and turn right just before the railway tracks. Now ride downstream along the Gail – there is an S-curve, and then you cross the tracks to the left. At the next fork, turn right and then immediately left - uphill, through the forest. You leave the forest behind, turn right and reach the village of Karnitzen. In the village center, turn left and follow the route north through a short forest section to the next settlement in the open area below the B111. Ride straight through the settlement, before the B111 turn right, cross the B111, and then continue across the street going north. There are several forks; take the third option, at the forest edge, turn left. After a short forest section, you reach a large clearing at the hamlet of Bichlhof – cross the open area northwest until you turn right at the road junction. Then ride through the village of Hadersdorf, turn right at the first opportunity and cross the fields eastward. The route continues to Latschach and then to Tratten – at the junctions keep going straight following the road. In Tratten, turn right onto the L36 until at the fork near a cross you turn left. The route runs northwest across fields and through forest sections – pass all junctions straight – to Matschiedl. Turn left and ride along the L33 until at the second chance turn right and then continue northwest through a longer forest section.

Arriving at Rauterbauer, ride along the gravel road between the farms, turn left downhill through the forest and along the forest edge – crossing the Sussawitschbach, continuing northwest until near the sports field above Sussawitsch you reach a road fork. Here turn right and follow the asphalt road straight until you turn right after a left curve and then turn right again after another curve. At the square in Köstendorf, turn left and ride southeast downhill, passing all junctions straight, crossing a road. The route continues under the B111 straight to the forest edge and then turns left here. At the next fork, turn right, at the next fork stay right and continue downhill through the forest, passing the ruin on your right. You reach the hamlet of Nieselach and cross the Gail here, then turn left and ride along the R3 on the Gail dam southeast. Just before Vorderberg the route makes a right turn – ride into the village center and reach again the start of your tour.
