Roadbook
Hermagor - Möderndorf - Garnitzenklamm - Egger Alm - Dellacher Alm - Poludniger Alm
Start/End point:
Your tour starts at the town hall – you turn right and head north along 10. Oktoberstraße. Stay right, follow the road, cross the Gail and turn right after the bridge. Along the riverbank embankment, the street leads to the roundabout – here take the second exit and follow the L25 – crossing the railway tracks. Along the road, reach a junction at the approaching forest edge – here turn off the L25 onto the paved side street (the route of R3a) – at the following fork, stay left. Continue on the path, cross a short forest section, and then reach the L23. Turn left here, cross the Gail, and then stay on the road for a longer stretch.
The route leads southwards to Möderndorf, past the entrance to Garnitzenklamm and then with numerous bends through the forest upwards. At about 1350 m, you leave the forest, reach the alpine pasture area, and shortly afterwards the Egger Alm. The road runs through the hut settlement eastwards, below Egger Kanzel and to the left of Egger Alm lake, straight towards Dellacher Alm.
At the fork before the huts of Dellacher Alm, turn right and then follow the gravel road upwards along some curves and bends. You always follow the road uphill, passing junctions straight or keeping right, until you finally reach Poludniger Alm – your tour destination.
