Winschertfelsen auf dem vorderen Winschertkopf
Viewpoint rock on the front Winschertkopf near Merzalben.
To the north of the Gräfenstein castle ruins is the Winschert, a mountain range with several peaks that extends in the direction of the Johanniskreuz. On its western summit, the 521 meter high Vorderen Winschertkopf, stands the mighty Winschertfels, from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of Merzalben, the Gräfenstein castle ruins and the endless forests of the Palatinate Forest Nature Park. The "Pfälzer Waldpfad" premium trail, for example, can serve as an access route. Free parking is possible at the Schäferei hiking car park. Incidentally, the Winschertfels is located on the Gräfensteinweg trail in the Gräfensteiner Land region.

Info in leichter Sprache:
Hier muss man besonders aufpassen.
