Naturschutzgebiet Wartekopf, Ulmet
The 122-hectare Wartekopf nature reserve is a biotope complex consisting of heat-loving dry oak forests, rocks, dry grassland, copper beech forest, near-natural streams and rough pastures. Numerous heat- and drought-loving animal and plant species can be found here, such as the whitebeam, the cowslip or the brown fire butterfly as well as many species of woodpecker. The ravines are home to the rare ravine forest with natural occurrences of the summer lime tree.
