From the Way of Saint James to the most beautiful villages in France and the numerous remains of the Knights Templar here and there, the inhabitants preserve and promote a rich heritage that forms the basis of their way of life.
People respect the environment and traditions, but are also forward-looking, as shown by the Millau Viaduct or the Soulages Museum. This exceptional museum, opened in 2014, houses a rich collection of the artist's works and high-quality temporary exhibitions.

The Aveyron is also a dynamic area marked by sporting and cultural events. Each season is marked by a varied program of events.
Thus, spring comes alive with the rhythm of the Transhumance and the Roc Laissagais. Summer is turbulent with the Natural Games, a combination of music and extreme sports, the Nocturnes de Conques or Hier un village, an immersion in the past.
Autumn remains sporty with the Festival des Templiers, a large gathering of trail runners. Winter is milder with the various Christmas markets offered throughout the region.
