After the church was completed, a fountain was installed on the outside. It is intended to combine the ecclesiastical aspect with the secular, namely to remind us of the former fountain on Wintersberg.
Next to the inscription ‘I live and you shall live’ we see a pelican feeding its young. In the old Christian symbolism, this is a representation of Jesus. Below it, water flows from the mouth of a fish. The fish is also a symbol of the Son of God, the giver of the water of life.
