Fountain Geroldsauer Straße

Two of the original seven public running and pumping fountains are still preserved in the Geroldsau district. They were built in 1863 to supply drinking water supply. The wells are kept simple with an elongated well trough and a square well base.

Tip for the thirsty:
Fill up your water bottles here. The tap water gushing from the fountain is continuously analysed. The fountains themselves are also regularly cleaned and inspected.
