Point on the path where the rare acoustic phenomenon known as 'endecasyllabic echo' occurs, i.e. when pronouncing an 11-syllable word, it is repeated in its entirety.
Along the path leading from the Sanctuary of Graglia to the hill of S. Carlo, shortly after the Grand Hotel, an acoustic phenomenon known as endecasyllabic echo occurs. This phenomenon, already observed by scholars in the 18th century, consists of the precise reproduction of the word shouted in the direction of the Sanctuary. It is called endecasyllabic because, under ideal climatic conditions, it can repeat a word of eleven syllables such as 'precipitously'. It is a rare and fascinating echo; there is only one other similar case in the world, in the Grand Canyon of Colorado, USA.
