Wildensteiner Wasserfall
Nachdem die Wassermassen des höchsten frei fallenden Wasserfalls Europas - Fallhöhe 54 Meter - auftreffen, bahnt sich das Wasser 300 m abwärts den Weg zu einer Staumauer die das Wasser fasst und über 500 m lange Rohre in das Kraftwerk fließen lassen. Dort befindet sich eine Turbine mit Generator und der Schaltraum für die Stromerzeugung.
Dieses Kraftwerk produziert 650.000 Kilowatt/Stunde im Jahr. Damit kann man eine Gemeinde mit ca. 2.500 Einwohnern mit Strom versorgen. Der Eigentümer, Josef Planteu, leistet damit seinen Beitrag zum Ausbau erneuerbarer Energien.
