Die Simmenquelle, eine der bekanntesten Kartsquellen im Alpengebiet. Karstquellen sind Wasseraustrittstellen, bei denen das Wasser im Gebirgskörper entlang von Klüften und Brücken fliesst und von einem relativ weit entfernten Gebiet stammt. Sie wird durch Schmelzwasser des Räzligletschers gespiesen. Die Quellschüttung variiert im Verlauf des Jahres durch die permanente Wasserzufuhr aus dem Gletscher nur wenig.

Unterhalb der Quellen gibt es einen einfachen Rastplatz mit Bänken sowei einer einfachen Feuerstelle. Holz muss selber gesammelt werden.
