The beautiful Poço do Inferno isá located in the heart of the Serra da Estrela, at 1080 metres altitude. It is the result of a waterfall of about 10 meters high, formed by the icy waters of the Ribeira de Leandres.
On the outskirts of the Poço do Inferno there is a car park, a picnic area and several walking trails. The access is a little difficult and in dry periods there is not much water. But it is certainly worth a visit.
