View Point Bettmerhorn – View of the Great Aletsch Glacier
The barrier-free View Point Bettmerhorn is located just 200 metres from the Bettmerhorn mountain station. From the viewpoint at 2,647 metres above sea level, you can enjoy unobstructed views of the impressive straight section and the spectacular curve of the Great Aletsch Glacier. After taking in these breathtaking views, it is well worth stopping by the Bettmerhorn Panorama Restaurant, located right next to the mountain station.The viewpoint is located in the Bettmeralp area and is easily accessible by gondola from Bettmeralp. Alternatively, a hiking trail leads to Bettmerhorn from Moosfluh or Bettmeralp.
Accessibility:
- From the Bettmeralp valley station, take the cable car to Bettmeralp
- From the Bettmeralp mountain station, walk 1.1 km to the valley station of the Bettmerhorn gondola (follow the signposts)
