A Soproni-hegységben előszeretettel hívják a kilátópontokat páholyoknak, ahonnan kényelmesen beláthatjuk a környező táj egy-egy szép részletét. Az egyik ilyen a Vas-hegy keleti oldalában egy meredek sziklafal tetején található, és korláttal védett kilátóponton állítja meg a turistát. A páholyból a városra látunk rá, igaz, csak korlátozottan, de Sopron óvárosának tornyait is be lehet azonosítani, mögöttük pedig felfedezhetjük a Fertő tó víztükrét.
A páholy alatti, a csillámpalás sziklafal aljában a Soproni Lövér Íjász Egyesület által használt lövészpálya található.

- Az 1-es és 2-es helyi buszokról a Csík Ferenc uszoda megállóban kell leszállni.

- A Csík Ferenc uszoda buszmegállóból a hegynek fölfelé kell elindulni, majd jobbra fordulni a Csongor út lépcsőjére. Az első sarkon balra térünk a Felsőlővér útra, amit rögtön a következő elágazásnál jobbra hagyunk el a Galagonya közön. Ez a Kőfejtő útba csatlakozik, amin jobbra kell fordulnunk. Egyszer csak elérjük a Z+ jelzést, ezen bal felé kell belépnünk az erdőbe. Ez vezet el a kilátópontig (1,1 km).
- A parkolóból a Z+ jelzésen 400 méter a kilátópont.

- A Kőfejtő út és a Hársfa sor találkozásánál találunk parkolót.
