The Ruppertstein is closely connected with the history of Lemberg Castle. It once housed a watchtower, an outwork of Lemberg Castle. The Ruppertstein is mentioned in a document from 1198 as Ruprechtisberg and was assigned to Count Heinrich I along with the Gutienberg for construction. A few natural stone steps lead up to the secured rock plateau of Ruppertstein. From up here, there is a view of the Trifels (to the right) and the mountains of the Holzland municipalities of Leimen and Clausen, with Ruppertsweiler in the foreground. Since falcons like to breed here, there may be closures of the plateau in spring to protect the falcon’s nest. We ask for your understanding.
