Voraus ist im Tal der Gasthof Bachjörg in Triberg-Schonachbach ("Weltgrößte Kuckucksuhr") zu sehen, in der Verlängerung darüber die Bahnstrecke vor dem Großhalde-Tunnel. Auf ihrer Fahrt von Offenburg erreicht die Schwarzwaldbahn kurz darauf den Bahnhof Triberg. Etwa vier Minuten später kann man sie kurz vor dem Gummambs-Tunnel erneut sehen. Weitere vier Minuten später kommt sie von rechts aus dem Gremmelsbach-Tunnel, durchfährt den Gaisloch-Tunnel unterhalb des Aussichtspunktes und fährt links in Richtung Hohnen-Tunnel weiter.
