The iconic mountain church St. Moritz lies embedded in beautiful vineyards and watches elevated over the region.

Farmers found the graves of members of a Roman legion near the present church. Shortly afterwards, the church was built in 1491 and dedicated to Mauritius, the commander of the legion. In 1529, during the Reformation, all decoration was removed from the church. Nevertheless, the church, embedded in beautiful vineyards, watches over the region.
