On a clear day, you can see as far as the Black Forest, about 130 km away.
The Schwäbische Alb-Nordrandweg, which runs along the edge of the Alb ridge, offers particularly beautiful views far down into the Filstal valley at the Rötelstein and Messelstein vantage points near Donzdorf. One of the nature trails also leads along the Messelberg, a bare rock that juts out of the large Messelberg. On the Messelberg is also the flying field of the Fliegergruppe Donzdorf e.V. for gliding. And not far from there is the launch pad of the Staufen Hang Gliding and Paragliding Club next to the Rötelstein.
