This HWW station is part of the Wechselland Historical Long-Distance Hiking Trail (HWW). More information can be found at www.wechsel-wandern.at. Each HWW station is dedicated to a chapter from the history of Wechselland.
Topic: Former glass factory 18th/19th century. The densely wooded area between Schaueregg and Niederwechsel was the site of the Schaueregg glass factory in the 18th and 19th centuries. Some remains of the walls of the "Alte Glashütte" settlement can still be seen in the area around the station.
Location of the HWW station: On the Pinka not far from the "Alt Hütt'n" at the intersection of the hiking trail 928 with the wall path feeder road from the parking lot on Glaserstraße.
