A meredek lejtőjű, köves talajú tisztásról úgy nézhetünk le a Dunakanyarra, hogy nem is fölötte, hanem lényegében az oldalában állunk.
A Gubacsi-hálás kellemes hangulatú tisztására érdemes kitérnie annak, aki Nagymarosra tart, vagy éppen onnan halad a hegység belseje felé. Szemben a visegrádi vár emelkedik, mögötte a Visegrádi-hegység karimája határolja a Duna kanyarját.
A Visegrádi-hegység valamikor hatalmas tűzhányó volt, és a szemben hullámzó, erdős tájról nem is gondolnánk, hogy több korábbi kaldera maradványát rejti. A felrobbant kráterek roncsának legmagasabb pereme a Duna túloldalán magasodó gerincívekben keresendő, de az egymás után működő vulkánok falának egy darabja a folyón innen található: a jobb felé magasodó, jellegzetes alakú Szent Mihály-hegy. A Duna sok millió évvel a vulkanizmus elcsendesülése után jelent meg a hegyvidéken, hogy bonyolult tektonikai és eróziós folyamatok során átréselje magát mai szorosán.
Mivel a Duna által előttünk feltárt hegyvidék a vulkánroncs belső, alacsonyabb területe, ezért a magasabb, félköríves gerincről a völgyek nagyjából sugárirányban befelé, a Dunakanyarba futnak. A Gubacsi-hálásról mélyen belátunk e völgyek torkába, sűrűn barázdált, élénk domborzatú hegyvilág tárul fel előttünk. Az előtérben, éppen alattunk Nagymaros utcái sorakoznak párhuzamosan a folyó szalagjával.

- A Nagymaros–Visegrád vasútállomástól a P jelzés vezet el a Gubacsi-hálás és az Eszperantó-hegy közti nyereg parkolójába. Itt balra, a Z▲ jelzésekre térve érünk el a kilátóponthoz (3,3 km, 243 m szintemelkedés).
- A Kóspallagi elágazás buszmegállóból a Z▲ jelzéseket kövessük a tisztásig (3,5 km, 243 m szintemelkedés).
- A temető melletti parkolótól a P jelzésen jutunk el a Gubacsi-hálás s az Eszperantó-hegy közti nyeregbe, innen balra, a Z▲ jelzésen érkezünk meg (2 km, 211 m szintemelkedés).
