Von der Gisliflue, dem Hausberg des Schenkenbergertals und gleichzeitig dem höchsten Punkt der Gemeinde Auenstein, eröffnet sich an klaren Tagen über dem Schloss Lenzburg und der Kirche auf dem Staufberg eine wunderschöne Sicht auf die Alpenkette. Vom Alpstein über den Calanda zum Glärnisch, weiter zu den Innerschweizer Alpen mit dem Titlis bis zu den Berner Viertausendern mit der Jungfrau reicht der Blick. Im Westen und Norden schliessen sich die Ketten des Juras und die Höhenzüge des Schwarzwaldes mit dem Feldberg an und erlauben eine freie Sicht auf die Ruine Schenkenberg und das gesamte Tal. Ein herrlicher Weitblick!
Geologisch gesehen ist die Gisliflue ein versteinertes Korallenriff.
Die Gisliflue ist Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen nach Auenstein, Biberstein, Thalheim, Staffelegg, Wildegg und Veltheim. Sonntags ist das Naturfreundehaus am Nordhang der Gisliflue offen für alle und Sie werden ohne Voranmeldung bewirtet.
