In the picturesque town center of Blankenheim, visitors immerse themselves in times gone by. The Ahr spring, the historical city gate facilities, the late Gothic parish church, as well as numerous half-timbered buildings adorn this historic place.

In the picturesque town center of Blankenheim, visitors immerse themselves in past times. The Ahr spring, the historic town gate structures, the late Gothic parish church, and numerous half-timbered buildings adorn this historic place. Finding relaxation and enjoying peace is possible for everyone here, whether strolling through one of the studios or stopping by one of the cafés to enjoy the splendid view of the town and the castle. The historic Carnival Museum at Georgstor impressively explains the four-hundred-year-old Blankenheim carnival traditions, particularly the Blankenheim ghost parade. Around the barrier-free designed pond, pedal and rowing boats, mini-golf, a children's playground, and an outdoor swimming pool provide the ideal setting for leisure activities and relaxation. Every year during the summer months, the special cultural program "Blankenheim Summer by the Lake" takes place, featuring musical open-air events.
