Vom Pavillon oberhalb des Dreikaiserfelsens bietet sich eine herrliche Aussicht auf Triberg. Den Namen erhielt der Felsen zur Erinnerung an das Jahr 1888, als im Deutschen Reich drei Kaiser regierten: Wilhelm I., Friedrich III. und Wilhelm II. Zuvor schon besuchte im Jahr 1877 Kaiser Wilhelm I. mit seiner Familie die Triberger Wasserfälle.
