This cliff is about 580 meters high, which makes it the highest steep coast of Europe and the second highest one worldwide. Since 2013 visitors can enjoy the stunning views from the so-called Skywalk which is open until sunset.

Hi Frank, Access to the Cabo Girão viewpoint is very easy by car, and there is no lift or cable car at the site. Nearby, you’ll find the Rancho Cable Car, which is used to go down to the fajã at the base of the cliff. Have a great Adventures, The Outdooractive Portugal Team
