Der Heidenberg ist ein 420 Meter hoher Berg im südöstlichen Wasgau, wie der Südteil des Pfälzerwaldes zusammen mit dem Nordteil der Vogesen auch genannt wird. Die Nordflanke befindet sich auf der Gemarkung von Busenberg, die Südflanke auf der von Erlenbach bei Dahn. An seinem Westhang befindet sich der Buchkammefels.

Auf der Nordseite des Felsmassivs befindet sich in 8m Höhe eine Öffnung.
Im Felsinneren sind eingehauene Kammern, die wahrscheinlich als Gefängnis der nahegelegenen
Burg Drachenfels gedient haben.
Die Heidenkammern wurden auch im 2.Weltkrieg genutzt, noch heute sind
Trümmer unterirdischer Bunkeranlagen zu sehen.
