Since autumn 2011, in the only Frankenberg nature reserve "Auf dem Tiergarten", a bird observation station has been inviting visitors to observe nature at the former gravel dredging ponds in the Ederaue. It is located directly on the Eder cycle path north of Frankenberg near the Walkemühle estate.
In und vor der Hütte besteht die Möglichkeit zu rasten.

You can take the train to Frankenberg and then cycle out of Frankenberg on the Eder cycle path towards Edersee.Directions
By car via the B 252 in the direction of Frankenberg, just before entering the town, turn right. Then you drive a bit past the fulling mill.You will find the parking lot on the right-hand side, or you can cycle on the Eder cycle path, regardless of the direction in which you pass.
