Only 101 steps and the centre of Banská Bystrica lies open.
The clock tower has several names - Green, Weight and, most recently, Leaning. According to legend, one night, angels collided over the tower and got caught on top of it. The tower tilted and today it is clear to the naked eye that it deviated by up to 68 cm from its axis. Don't worry, its statics was stabilised in 1959. In the past, there were trumpeters in the tower who watched the surroundings and reported any sign of danger to their colleagues at Vartovka and Šachtičky watchtowers. The town's torture chamber and prison were located in the cellars of the clock tower. You can explore this strange place of Banská Bystrica with the whole family.
