Unexpectedly, this small clearing reveals a view of the Trifels and offers a lovely picnic opportunity. The plateau at Bannenberg is located in the forest of Annweiler am Trifels. It is public and accessible at any time.
There are tables and benches on site to enjoy the view of the Trifels.
For parking, you can use the Klettererhütte parking lot (Trifelsstraße, Annweiler) or the Rehberg parking lot (Trifelsstraße, Annweiler).
The Richard Löwenherz Path runs past the plateau.
