Tal Lazaret

The exhibition gathers several objects linked with the combat events of the First and Second World Wars in the area of Val Degano, in Carnia. The first section describes, properly speaking, the First World War, by means of objects effectively “collected” directly on the battlefields or through an effort to retrieve objects that were conserved by families in the area. All of these items are carefully restored and exhibited in an orderly way, by topic. The second hall, titled “fragments of history of the Second World War”, gathers many finds and tells the events of the passage of Germans and Cossacks through these lands. The battles in Russia and Albania are mentioned, too.
