Stadt Ehingen (Donau)
Die heutige Gestalt des Rathauses geht in wesentlichen Teilen auf Umbauten in der Zeit des Historismus zurück. Diese wurden notwendig, nachdem im Sommer 1890 der Dachstuhl und Teile der oberen Stockwerke einem Brand zum Opfer gefallen waren. Aus dieser Zeit stammt der weitgehend original erhaltene Ratssaal. Erwähnenswert ist zudem ein hier angebrachtes Glasgemälde aus den Jahren um 1510. Es erinnert an Hieronymus Winckelhofer ( † 1538), der sich durch zahlreiche Stiftungen als großer Wohltäter Ehingens verdient gemacht hat.
Nach wenig vorteilhaften Veränderungen in den 1930er Jahren, wurde das Erscheinungsbild des Rathauses zuletzt in den Jahren 2010/11 erneuert.
Der Zwischenbau, der sich südlich anschließt, entstand 1975. Der Neubau an der Lindenstraße wurde 2003 fertig gestellt. Er zeigt eine völlig eigenständige, moderne Formensprache und geht auf einen Entwurf von Prof. Dr. Enno Schneider, Berlin, zurück.
