City Hall, Kirchstrasse 3
The east wing of today's town hall was built around 1752. The baroque building was built as a Piarist college (monastic school or boarding school) by master builder Thomas Petri on behalf of Prince Johann Dominik. The west wing followed in 1758 with the magnificent portal and central avant-corps, on which the princely coat of arms has once again been hanging since 2005. The intermediate building with the current meeting room - the former monastery chapel - was built as the last part of the monastery complex. The former college has only been used as the town hall since 1938. There is a marker on the outside wall of the building showing the water level during the 1875 flood.
