Voller Freude dürfen wir mitteilen, dass die Arbeiten am Wald- und Moormuseum in Berumerfehn abgeschlossen wurden und die Neueröffnung am 10.03.2024 stattfand!
Das Museum befindet sich In direkter Nachbarschaft des Berumerfehner Waldes und wurde vor rund sechzig Jahren von dem ehemaligen Schuldirektor Martin Behnke gegründet
Dank vieler helfender Hände und unterschiedlicher Fördermittel ist es nun gelungen, das Museum umfangreich zu modernisieren und trotzdem den nostalgischen Charme des ehemaligen Schulgebäudes zu bewahren. Die Ausstellung birgt nach wie vor einen beachtlichen Schatz an heimischen Tieren und wurde in mehrere Themenbereiche unterteilt. Eindrucksvoll werden der damalige Torfabbau und das Leben der Tiere in Moor und Wald dargestellt. Eine wichtige Rolle spielt auch die Auswirkung des Handelns von uns Menschen auf die Natur.
Wir freuen uns auf viele interessierte Besucher, insbesondere aber auch auf Schulklassen, die entweder auf eigene Faust oder professionell geführt, auf Entdeckungsreise durch das Museum gehen. Selbstverständlich steht auch ein Schulungsraum zur Verfügung.
