It is a cool and wet gorge, created by the Travignolo stream, as refreshing in summer when you are looking for freshness, as frigid and dotted with ice crystals in winter.
The ancient and evocative stone bridge, called "Pont de la Lizata", crosses the deep gorge dug by the icy waters of the stream where a crossroads opens. The path on the right runs along numerous porphyry cliffs, now equipped for climbing.
Just before the bridge, following the directions "Cava de le Bore" you will discover the artificial canals built with polished stone that, since the nineteenth century, facilitated the descent of the logs towards the valley, especially in winter. The crushed snow sprinkled with water created that perfect ice patina to slide the material downstream; the logs even reached 90 km per hour!
STRENGTH
From the large stones that delimit the Travignolo embankment it is possible to experience the thrill of immersing your feet in the icy waters of the stream
