The Rotwand is a famous climbing mountain in the southern Rosengarten group in the Dolomites.
The Rotwand is 2806 m high and is a popular climbing mountain, especially because of its steep south-west face. The highest elevation of the southern Rosengarten ridge got its name from the yellow-red colour of the Schlern dolomite in the south-western rock face. On the mountain, there are easier climbing routes of level A/B, but also more challenging routes.
