La cima è raggiungibile dai versanti nord (Feltre-Tomo), nord-ovest (Porcen, sentiero CAI 841), sud (Quero, sentiero CAI 844), sud-est (Carpen, sentiero CAI 850) e sud-ovest (Alta Via degli Eroi).
Lo strepitoso panorama a 360 gradi include Venezia (nelle giornate terse), le Pale di San Martino, la dorsale del Gruppo del Grappa, i Lagorai, le Vette Feltrine, uno spaccato rilevante delle Dolomiti Bellunesi e l'intera Valbelluna.
Il monte è noto per essere stato uno dei teatri più sanguinosi della prima battaglia d'arresto che si svolse nel novembre del 1917.
