Der Grünten ist ein 1738 m hoher Gipfel in den Allgäuer Alpen. Er erhebt sich prominent über der Ortschaft Burgberg und trägt wegen seiner markanten Form auch den Titel "Wächter des Allgäus". Der Hauptgipfel ist das Übelhorn, dort befindet sich ein Denkmal, welches zu Ehren der Gebirgsjäger errichtet wurde. Etwas unterhalb steht der knapp 100 m hohe Sender Grünten, ein Sendeturm des Bayrischen Rundfunks.
An den Hängen des Grünten befinden sich das Grüntenhaus und die Grüntenhütte, in denen Wanderer und Mountainbiker, die auf dem Berg unterwegs sind, Rast machen können. Eine gern begangene Route führt von Burgberg hinauf, vorbei an den Erzgruben. Der kürzeste Weg führt von der Alpe Kammeregg über die Grüntenhütte zum Gipfel.
Auch im Winter ist der Grünten ein oft angesteuertes Ziel: Das Skigebiet Grüntenlifte und die vereiste Starzlachklamm am Südfuß des Berges wissen zu überzeugen.
