The path from Immenstadt to the foot of Grünten is very long and not necessarily spectacular. However, we walk the entire time without climbs and can thus spare our legs for the steep ascent. We also always keep our goal in sight along the way – the Grünten towers imposingly before us. On the Grünten, it mainly goes through the forest from Burgberg. The view from the summit compensates for all the effort: the Allgäu mountains from the Nagelfluh chain to the Alps can be seen from above. The descent leads us down the northern flank of the Grünten and we take the return route via Rettenberg so that we don't have to walk the same path twice.
